Petros Amiridis

Support(ocat), GitHub

I started working as a programmer professionally in 1998. I have been involved with ERP and OLAP applications using Oracle and Delphi. I have also been freelancing since 2006. I have used .NET and C# to develop mobile applications for the retail market. I have supported the users of the applications I developed, and I was always involved with the Enterprise. I helped organize teams of programmers and recently a software development department.

2011 was a landmark for me. I gave whatever it was possible to give in the Enterprise market in Greece, given my skills, my character, my ambitions, my ideas, and my philosophy. I thought it was about time for me to do something else.

Right now, I am working at GitHub supporting more than 3.000.000 programmers all over the world. That way, I am free to program and write code for the same reasons I did when I first encountered a computer: for FUN.
